Juniors Learn to Sail
The Juniors dinghy sailing course (covering RYA Youth Stages 1 and 2) usually runs twice yearly alongside the adults level 1 and 2 dinghy course.
The course runs for four consecutive Saturdays and caters for children between the ages of 9 and 16 years.
Children are taught the basics of sailing in small group talks and sessions, then they are able to try their hands at sailing for real, usually in our dinghy Toppers (smaller, lighter-weight one-handed boats which are easier for children to handle).
The only pre-requisite to joining the course is that children must be able to swim well and be confident in deep water.
OUR SPRING 2025 COURSE DATES ARE
Saturdays, March 29th, April 5th, 12th and 26th 2025.
Please note there is a deliberate break on April 19th for the Easter weekend.
