Stand Up Paddleboarding

Stand Up Paddleboarding has established itself as a popular and growing activity.  The Club has a number of stand up paddleboards available for hire by sailing and paddleboard members who don't have their own equipment , but of course members can bring their own boards to use at the sailing club as their starting point.

If you would like to give Stand Up Paddleboarding a try at Sutton Sailing Club and become a member of the club please complete the enquiries form at the bottom of the page or the membership application form.  Bring your own board or hire one from the club for a small charge.  SUP and Sailing Membership prices can be found on the fees table here -

In response to enquiries from the general public to pursue private SUP on Powells Pool specifically, unfortunately we can't encourage this,  as activities on Powells Pool are co-ordinated across a number of youth organisations and the Sailing Club  who, under their leases with Birmingham CC,  regulate access to the water to prevent incompatible activities from taking place, particularly in regard to safety. There are however other pools in Sutton Park that may accommodate private SUP activity.
