Sutton Sailing Club is proudly linked with Birmingham Model Yacht Club, whose main interest is in sailing and racing model yachts - they are a thriving part of the club and a very accessible way for anyone to further an interest in sailing.

 

During 2009 BMYC were looking for a new venue since their water had become unsuitable for sailing Radio Controlled yachts. Following discussions between SSC and BMYC they became members of SSC.  Their membership has grown and they enjoy the excellent facilities that SSC has to offer.

 

BMYC race their model yachts usually on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons throughout the year, sometimes Saturdays too, and it’s a great way to take part in competitive sailing while keeping  your feet dry.  Check out their website by clicking on this link:
